Summary:

* Release memory for Windows Mobile devices.
* Amazing utility which helps you to clean up the wasted RAM memory without having to restart the device and eventually saves a lot of time.


Description:

* cleanRAM is a very useful tool for Windows Mobile v5.0-v6.1 devices (specially for HTC TouchFLO).
* cleanRAM is a memory reclaimer similar to Oxios but with advanced settings and actually works! great solution for the Windows Mobile memory leak problem.
* cleanRAM attempts to release as much memory as possible, cleanRAM will refresh your device memory (RAM).
* cleanRAM can save you a lot of SOFT RESET!


Configuration:

There are 3 levels of cleaning and Personally customized processes list.

* Level 1 - Basic purge only (quick) - Close non-responding tasks and troublemaker applications (without TouchFLO)
* Level 2 - Quality purge - Recommended for best performance
* Level 3 - Fundamental purge (time-consuming) - Reset non-responding tasks and services, maximum clean up!


Customized Processes List:

Select the processes you wish to clean.

* Including Level 1
* Restart Processes Mode
* Show Hidden Processes


Settings:

Define cleanRAM behavior.

* Show RAM Status Notification - in the end of the clean-up process, cleanRAM will show you a memory status.
* Show Progress Bar - progress bar helping you to see the real time progress of clean-up.
* Show Windows Wait Cursor - enable/disable regular windows wait cursor.
* Clear Recent Start Menu Iteams - clean all your history applications list from start menu.
* Notify Me Before CleanUp - popup message that warn you before cleanRAM begin (10 seconds) this feature includes "Abort" button for aborting the current clean-up (disabled when S2U2 on background).
* Wake Up Device Before CleanUp - turn on the device screen when clean-up started on schedule mode (this feature can save you a life battery on OFF mode).
* Hibernate - this feature will try to reclaim all memory that is inaccessible. force the system to try to reclaim the maximum amount of available memory. recommended for old devices / Operating Systems! (click here to learn more about it)
* Close All Applications - force closing all applications by sending WM_CLOSE messages when clean-up beginning (working with level 1,2 and 3 only).
* Launch Startup Programs - execute after clean-up all startup programs (if you like, you can also use registry editor to change the startup folder location value).
* Language - change cleanRAM language (download language files if needed).

Schedule:

Automatically clean up by schedule feature.
Get clean up event at a specific time!

* Enabled (On/Off)
* CleanUp Programs
o Level 1
o Level 2
o Level 3
o User Customize Level
* Start Time
o Every 1 Hour
o Every 3 Hour
o Every 6 Hour
o Every 12 Hour
o Customize - Choose Specific Time
* Select Days (including every day)

Reset Timer button will save the schedule settings and restart the schedule timer (use this button when you change for new time set)
Close button will save the schedule settings without resetting the schedule timer


Exceptions List:

Select programs (process) that you want to skip/ignore.

Backup / Restore:

Backup all your cleanRAM settings into INI file and when the time is come (for example: after new ROM flashed or Hard Reset) you be able easier to restore back all your cleanRAM settings


Update Service:

* You can update to latest version directly from the cleanRAM configuration (update) by using Internet connection. also you can reinstall your last version.
* If you like you change the temporary folder path by edit registry value "saveUpdateFileToTemporaryFolder".
* In the end, update service will reset to default factory settings, if you want to save them please do backup before updating (Backup / Restore).
* Notice: Beta versions will be signed with beta word




Multilanguage Feature - Download Language File:

1. Select and download your own local language file from here. also you can download all languages (all in one file): Language_Files.zip.
2. Extract the selected file into cleanRAM installation folder (\Program Files\htcAddicts cleanRAM\Lang).
3. Run cleanRAM configuration and select your language from Settings menu.
4. Restart cleanRAM.


Multilanguage Feature - Add New Language:

1. Download the last language translation file - [english.zip]
2. Extract the file to temporary folder
3. Rename english.ini file to <your language>.ini file
4. Edit and translate your new language ini file

5. Finally, copy the new language ini file into "\Program Files\cleanRAM\Lang" folder on your device.

* Please! when you translate the text strings, please make sure for fit the size of the characters like in my example (english) lang file.

Known issues:

* S2U2 doesn't work well on level 2 and level 3 only, it's because S2U2 need to auto unlock when cleanRAM started (like unlock when the stylus is pulled out), this is a S2U2 issue. so if you must have S2U2, please just make sure that S2U2 UI will not work with cleanRAM at the same time with.
* Found new issue? Do you get an unexpected error has occurred? first you need to do is to check if you have the latest version of .NET. then, if you still getting the error message and you want my help just send me details of your device model, rom version, cleanram version




Requirements/Prerequisites:

Windows Mobile v5.0-v6.1 devices (specially for HTC TouchFLO aka Manila)


Installation Instructions:

1. Download the latest attached .cab file from htcAddicts website or from this post.
2. Copy the file into some temporary folder (on your device).
3. Execute it from your device (recommend you install cleanRAM to device memory).

* .cab is the zipped file along with the read me.
* cleanRAM will be installed into /Program files/htcAddicts folder.
* There are also two links created, one called: "cleanRAM Config" (configuration tool) in the "Start Menu -> Programs" and the second called: "cleanRAM" (is the actual memory reclaimer) in the "Start Menu".
* Notice that you can update your cleanRAM from cleanRAM config menu anytime and anywhere you want.


Uninstall Instructions:

1. Run cleanRAM Configuration
2. Menu -> Schedule
3. uncheck the Enabled button.
4. Close
5. Start -> Settings -> System -> Remove Programs
6. Select and Uninstall htcAddicts cleanRAM
