noob help for gps application recomendation please

Ok I'm new to this forum and smart phones so please excuse the obvious noob request for help.

i have a nokia 5800, I also have memory map on which I can plan routes and export them as a GPX file. What i am trying to find is a simple basic GPS application for my phone where i can import those routes and show them on my phone and also show my location. I dont need/want to see maps just to see my planned route and location.

the abilty to record and export my track back out of the phone would also be nice.

Sorry if this is a stupid request but being new and my friend google is only confusing me about apps for the phone I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction

If I have asked this question in the wrong place would a mod kindly move it for me.

Hi,

Garmin XT Mobile able to reuse your existing GPX file but it somehow a bit annoying.. You can try the following method (Only applicable if you have succesfully install Garmin XT on your mobile.. Look for the how to install Garmin XT on Nokia 5800 in this forum.. )..

1. Connect your hp to PC via USB cable, select ' Mass storage Mode'. NOT PC SUITE mode.
2. Find the following file CURRENT.GPX on your mobile phone.. Garmin\GPX\Current.GPX.
3. Rename your own GPX file to CURRENT.GPX and copy & override the file in the above folder.
4. Start your Garmin Mobile XT again. The import of the data should happen automatically. If it does not, select Tools->Manage My Data then select the Manage option. Select Import GPX. Your saved application data should now be available.

This is still untest so try at your own risk.. .. Please do tell us the result of your installation.
