Based on the works of Bengali author Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay , the trilogy is the best example in neorealistic cinema

Modern Times is a 1936 comedy by Charles Chaplin. Considered Chaplin's greatest work, it has his iconic Little Tramp character in his final silent-film appearance, struggling to survive in the modern, industrialised world.

The film depicts the desperate unemployment and financial conditions many people faced during the Great Depression.

Seven Samurai

Yet another masterpiece by Akira Kurosawa, this one is considered one of the greatest and most influential films ever made. Superb action and detailing, Kurosawa excels in telling stories with action images.

It is the story of a village of farmers that hire seven samurais to combat bandits. The film inspired later films like The Guns of Navarone, Ocean's Eleven, The Dirty Dozen and several others.

Suvarnarekha

Director Ritwik Ghatak uses his unique art of story-telling in this Bengali classic about the trials and tribulations of a Hindu refugee from East Pakistan after the partition of India.

In the film, Ghatak gives a detailed visual and aural commentary of Bengal. Like every other of Ghatak's films, Suvarnarekha offers a mindblowing cinematic experience, taking into account the lighting, the narrative style and shots.
