How to install Garmin on 5800




Garmin Mobile is compatible with the operating system Symbian S60 V5 in general.
In the early stages of testing it was noted that programs like Garmin and Route66 are installed without problems, but they did not receive the commands because of the lack of a physical keyboard. This problem was solved, however, using software that will create a virtual keyboard on the display, the Garmin is able to recognize almost seamlessly.
In essence, from today you can use Garmin Mobile XT also on Nokia devices touchscreen. To get the Garmin, you must follow this simple guide, which I have not tested coz i'm not currently in possession of a terminal Touch, but I know that has been tested by many other users.


GUIDE FOR USE GARMIN MOBILE XT ON NOKIA Touch
With this method, the navigator works perfectly, but the only limit is the inability to enter the house number of an address. Perhaps this little bug will be fixed in the meantime you can navigate to our goal.

1) Install the Garmin Mobile XT.

2) Install VirtualKey on the phone's memory (important!) And Sign it, you can download free from here:

3) Download custom2.keymap attached
Connecting your phone to the PC and enter in:
E: \ private \ e7d61da9 \ (where E is the memory card)
And copy custom2.keymap

4) Unplug the phone from the PC, start Virtual Key, go to Options / Load Mode / Custom Mode 2, Exclude, Option / Change Mode / Includes. Then Options / Add from installed, choose ....... xt, Select, Cancel, Back (to let Virtual Key to remain in the background).

that means:

Exclude Tab == Option-> Change mode-> Include
Includes == Tab Options-> Add-installed from> ....... XT-> Select

It 's all. The procedure is finished, we will be able to use the Garmin on Nokia TouchScreen and other devices with Symbian S60 V5 touchscreen

VOID --> I believe you should install the Virtualkey before you run the Garmin XT.. Maybe you can use this steps..
NEW --> You don't need to install virtualkey anyomore..

1. Connect your hp to PC via USB cable, select ' Mass storage Mode'. NOT PC SUITE mode.

3. Click to install from PC - GarminMobileXTFreeBasemap_4xxxx.exe
4. Click to install from PC - GarminMobileXTSupportFiles_4xxxx.exe

5. Remove USB connection between hp and PC, do not click on 'LAUNCH' Garmin Mobile if prompted.

6. Connect hp to PC via PC Suite mode.
7. Move 'SIGNED' VirtualKey.v1.00.S60v3.SymbianOS9.1.Unsigned.Freew are.by.Luomao2000.sis in hp memory card.

--> Put in your IMEI, Email address, and browse to the location at ur PC which contains the virtual key sis file, u gotto unzipped file 1st after download)
--> Select all capability, type in security code shown,Click Accept legal agreement
--> You will receive a mail, follow the instructions in mail then u are ablt to download the signed sis file
8. Browse hp APPS > FILE MANAGER > MEMORY CARD > above sis > install at MEMORY CARD, REMEMBER!
9. Launch Virtual Key from Applications folder,click “Options”,“Exit”.(Special folder auto created at memory card)
10.Put custom1.keymap and default keymap in memory card\private\e7d61da9\ folder
11.Launch Virtual Key.Click “Options”, “Load mode” , “Custom mode 1″.
12.Careful.Click the small white right arrow next to the “Settings” tab on top of the screen of ur hp.
13.Check "INCLUDE" with GmobileXT, IF NOT, click to make it INCLUDE
14.EXIT, launch VirtualKey again, OPTIONS > SAVE AS > CUSTOM MODE 1
15.OPTIONS > LOAD MODE > CUSTOM MODE 1
16.OPTIONS > RUN IN BACKGROUND
17.You may launch Garmin Mobile XT in your hp right now. Make sure you dismantle USB cable, and make sure Virtual Key is running all the time when garmin is running.
18.GREEN button (ie. make call button) = “Yes” /OPEN
RED button = “No” button or “Back” button
MIDDLE button = UP
Camera button = DOWN

19.While running Garmin Mobile, after select language, go to Garmin apps Tools > Settings > About ( Copy down Card ID)
20.Generate unlock code using garmin_kgen.exe (v1.5), copy the serial number paste into a notepad, save as sw.unl (not text file, bro)
21.Put this sw.unl in Garmin folder in memory card via Mass storage transfer.
22.Put gmapsupp.img in Garmin folder as well.
23.Lanch Garmin again, you will now then able to log into menu system successfully, click tools > settings > system > RemoteGPS > Use Attached /Built-in GPS


If you having problem to get the CARD ID, request it here by posting your EMEI no.. I'll generate the Card ID for you..
